Delete your account and associated data

1. Save any writing you want to keep. Use Export in the editor, or request an account data export. Wait until you have your copy before requesting deletion.
2. Open the deletion form below and sign in to the account you want deleted. If asked, sign in again to verify your identity.
3. Review the warning, type DELETE, and choose “Request account deletion.” A reason is optional.
4. Keep the request reference shown on the confirmation screen. A recorded request is not confirmation that deletion has finished.

Your account remains accessible while the request is reviewed and processed. Deletion is permanent once completed.

What the request covers

Request removal of your PocketAuthor account, profile and associated personal data, including your manuscripts, notes, sources and comments. Shared workspace content may also belong to collaborators; identify any shared books in your request so their ownership and access can be reviewed.

Some security, transaction, rights or backup records may need to be retained for a limited period. Retention depends on the record and applicable obligations. Contact privacy support for the scope, progress or expected completion time of your request. See our privacy policy.

Delete specific data or request help without signing in

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. State whether you want the whole account deleted or identify the specific data, book or connected service involved. Include your request reference if you have one.

We may need to verify your identity before acting. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or copies of your manuscript to verify your account.

Remove drafts saved on this device

Account deletion does not clear drafts or recovery copies stored in your browser. Export anything you want to keep, then use your browser’s site-data settings to clear data for PocketAuthor. Repeat this on each device and browser you used, including app.pocketauthor.com and www.pocketauthor.com.

Clearing site data signs you out and can permanently remove unsynced writing. It does not submit an account deletion request. Copies you downloaded or shared outside PocketAuthor must be removed separately.
