Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By using PocketAuthor, you agree to these Terms and the linked policies. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization.

2. Accounts and access

You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping access to your Google identity secure. Do not share access in a way that bypasses workspace permissions. We may limit access needed to protect users, comply with law or maintain service integrity.

3. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of manuscripts, notes, covers, metadata and other content you submit. You grant PocketAuthor a limited license to host, process, reproduce and format that content only as needed to operate features you request, secure the service and satisfy legal obligations.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload, publish or share.

4. Publishing tools

PocketAuthor helps prepare manuscripts, metadata and production files. You remain responsible for editorial decisions, factual accuracy, permissions, ISBN choices, pricing, tax, retailer requirements, proofs and final publication approval. Availability through a retailer, bookstore, library or distributor is not guaranteed.

5. Fees and subscriptions

Prices, included services and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Taxes may apply. Except where law or a specific offer provides otherwise, charges for completed billing periods are non-refundable. Alpha access does not create a purchase obligation.

6. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove unlawful content or suspend activity that materially threatens people, intellectual-property rights or service security.

7. Third-party services

Identity, payment, storage, model, printing and distribution providers may apply their own terms. A link or integration does not make PocketAuthor responsible for that provider’s service.

8. Service changes and termination

Features may evolve. You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, security risk, legal requirement or discontinued service, with notice when reasonably possible.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. PocketAuthor does not promise commercial success, error-free files, legal compliance or publication acceptance. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Additional liability terms may be presented before paid general availability.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product and law change. The updated date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated when required.
